Here at Dog Skillz we are of the opinion that, first and foremost, agility is all about fun for both handler and dog! While our agility classes can be tailored to accommodate those who would like to do it 'just for fun' or those handlers who have a more competitive aim in mind, the training is essentially the same; teaching both handler and dog the correct and safe use of the equipment and giving them the skills needed to take on an agility course with confidence and enjoyment.
Agility is great exercise, both physically and mentally, and is suitable for any size or breed of dog and for any age or physical ability of handler. For those handlers wanting to compete we have trainers with many years of experience who currently compete at the higher levels and so will be able to guide you on the lastest techniques and manoeuvres available and adapt them to what suits you and your dog best.
Agility is a sport for adult dogs and although older puppies can complete the Foundation Course, it is not recommended that they are introduced to the equipment until they are at least one year old!
With regular classes for all abilities and workshops with visiting trainers, there is sure to be something to suit everyone at Dog Skillz.
